The Boston Juvenile Court charged the minor with several offenses, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, carrying a dangerous weapon (knife), and resisting arrest, according to a statement from Hayden’s office. Due to his status as a minor, the boy's identity was not disclosed. He has been ordered to be held on $1,000 (about 800,000 naira) bail.
The conditions for his potential release include no contact with the two victims, maintaining distance from the Jackson/Mann School in the vicinity of the incident, and avoiding contact with the Boston Green Academy. Additionally, the minor has been instructed to observe home confinement, except for alternative school placement. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for November 21.
The incident unfolded when Boston police responded to reports of a stabbing at 40 Armington St. in Allston, shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to Hayden’s office. They discovered a 14-year-old boy with stab wounds to his abdomen and left upper ribcage. Another victim, who had been assaulted with a knife by the same suspect, was found nearby.
Law enforcement located the alleged perpetrator walking along Ringer Park, matching descriptions provided by witnesses and a photo from a school official. Upon attempting to arrest the boy, he resisted aggressively, including flailing legs, clenching arms, and attempting to strike officers with his head.
The resistance continued during transportation to the police station for booking. Hayden expressed regret at the involvement of such a young individual in serious charges and emphasized the commitment to providing necessary assistance and support to the victim and their family.
