Joy as Abducted Nasarawa State University Students Regain Freedom

Four students from Nasarawa State University, who were abducted on Monday night, have been set free. 


As reported by the Daily Post Nigeria, the students, Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 level), and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100 level), were taken from their off-campus residence near Angwan Kare after BCGat at approximately 10:30 pm.


 The students have regained their freedom and are currently at the 177 Guards Battalion Headquarters in Keffi.

 

Muhammed Sakilu Muhammed, Secretary General of the Nasarawa State Youths Forum for Advocacy, confirmed the students' release in a statement. 


He stated, “We are pleased to inform you that the four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), who were kidnapped have been reportedly released today. This development follows the payment of an undisclosed ransom.”
