The President-General of Amukpe Community in Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Harrison Ekeleme, along with three others, successfully escaped from the clutches of their kidnappers. This incident occurred after the individuals were abducted by armed men along the Warri-Sapele Expressway a few days ago.

Daily Post Nigeria reported that according to a senior police officer who preferred to remain anonymous, a discreet police operation spearheaded by SP Harrison Nwabuisi from the Sapele Division effectively closed in on the abductors. The pressure exerted by the police prompted the kidnappers to abandon their captives.

Expressing gratitude for his release, Ekeleme acknowledged the role of divine intervention in sparing his life. He recounted the harrowing experience, noting that the kidnappers exhibited familiarity with the Warri routes and nearby villages.

Ekeleme maintained unwavering confidence in the capabilities of the security agencies throughout the ordeal. In confirmation of the successful rescue, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan, the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Council, commended the police for their efforts. He also assured residents of the ongoing commitment to eradicate criminal activities within the locality.
