Ivory Coast, the two-time AFCON winners, are gearing up for an intense challenge in Group A against Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau following the final draw in Abidjan on Thursday.

 

Cote d'Ivoire's all-time leading scorer, Didier Drogba, expressed the difficulty of their group, highlighting Nigeria as one of the favorites. Despite the tough competition, Drogba sees it as an exciting challenge and emphasizes the beauty of the AFCON competition, where the best teams will emerge from the groups.

 

The Ivory Coast team, champions in 1992 and 2015, boasts elite talents like Wilfried Zaha and Eric Bailly. However, Drogba acknowledges the formidable attacking options of Nigeria, featuring stars such as Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi, making them serious contenders.
