A 20-year old Hindu young man was
brutally murdered in Shaheen Nagar area, Hyderabad,
in India. The deceased , Digawat Pawan, was said to be in a friendship with a
muslim girl in the area. The girl’s uncle , Ghaus, and his friend , Saddam,
stabbed him to death at around midnight in his compound because Digawat Pawan
and his family could not pay an extortion demanded by the girl’s family.
Hindu Post reports that
the Muslim girl’s family once lived in Shaheen Nagar area when Digawat Pawan
met her before she left with her family to another place called Pahadi Shareef
but the two still communicate through phone calls.
When the Muslim girl’s family
discovered her continued relationship with the Hindu youth (Digawat Pawan) they
called a man , Mohammed, that owns a local YouTube channel MGM media who arranged a meeting in his office
to settle the matter. D Pawan’s family could not pay the Rs 3 lakhs fine as ‘settlement amount’ due to their financial handicap as labourers.
On Thursday 7th March 2023,
a local sharia court was arranged by Mohammed again
to demand from the Digawat Pawan’s family the extortion called settlement
amount, yet they were unable to pay. It was on that same day at 11:30pm Digawat Pawan went out of his room to make use
of a washroom that he was attacked and stabbed to death by the Muslim girl’s
uncle, Ghaus, and his friend , Saddam. He gave up the ghost before getting to
hospital for medical intervention. Ghaus and Saddam, are now in the police
custody for murder charges while Mohammed was also arrested for extortion and
threatening.
