Flying cars will soon be part of transportation means in the Japanese society as the government and some public sectors entities are in a panel to set up regulations for flying cars.
It is expected that the new innovation should be in use for commercial purpose by 2025.
The government counts this as the next generation means of transportation. The flying cars are electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL). Their landing and take-off ports are known as vertiports.
The new regulations
will cover the flying cars into three categories base on number of wings and
propellers, creations and locations of vertiports, their routes and means of
transportation (public or emergencies).
It is
worth remembering that the first tested and fully successful manned flying car
in Japan was done by a Japanese company, SkyDrive, in 2020.
