A couple were
recently attacked by a mountain lion in an area in Colorado, USA, but narrowly
escaped death by yelling and flashing light at the dangerous animal.
It was on Saturday night
( 15th March,2023) when the couple were
sitting in a hot tub outside their rented house that a mountain lion suddenly
grabbed the man’s head from behind. The man and his wife yelled and flashed
light at the animal which caused a retreat from the lion.
They escaped into
their rented property and immediately alerted the owner of the property who is
a Colorado Parks and Wildlife employee. It was gathered that the incident was reported
to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) authority by the property owner.
CPW swift into
action at the incident place but could not capture the mountain lion. The Colorado
Parks and Wildlife officers are seriously on a look out for this wild animal.
In their press release, Colorado Parks and
Wildlife said that the man had four "superficial scratches" on the
top of his head and close to his right ear.
The area wildlife manager ,Sean Shepherd, said "The couple did the right thing by making noise and shining a light
on the lion. Although this victim had only minor injuries, we take this
incident seriously," also mentioned "We have alerted neighbors and
posted signs warning of lion activity."
The officials have
set a trap in the area to catch the lion. This is
